Groundwater Symposium: A Deep Dive into Local Aquifers

Engage with water organizations and learn from groundwater managers about the hydrogeology, management, and conservation of local aquifers.

Conservation Activities 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Engage with the world of Texas Hill Country water through hands-on activities, information, and giveaways from dozens of local organizations in the LBJ Ballroom. Participating groups include Hill Country Alliance, San Marcos River Foundation, Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, and more.

Hydrogeology Overview 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Robert Mace will give an overview of the hydrogeology of the Texas Hill Country that we know and love.

Groundwater Panel, Q & A, and Door Prizes 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

You'll hear from groundwater leaders from the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, and the Edwards Aquifer Authority. They'll discuss how local aquifers are managed at each of their entities and ways we can work together to conserve Hill Country groundwater resources now and for years to come.
